There is a well known cross between Meconopsis punicea and the mauve M. quintuplinervia. This is my own version of it. Interesting but not sure it really has much merit!

This site is designed to help identify the different species of Meconopsis using photographs.

Wherever possible, the photographs will be taken in the wild.

For a number of species there is great variation and defining the limits is not easy.

It is hoped that in the future people visiting these remote areas will concentrate on taking photographs of the critical features and a wide range of plants, not just the prettiest.
